Here's my inelegant solution. Hey, it works. T-nut on a 1/4" screw, and a nut on the other end to cinch 'er down, Elmer's to glue 80-grit to a block.

Much easier. Witness lines while it is spinning, then take 'er down quick with the Dragon rasp.
