Thank you for the kind replies. I would not say it was noticeably heavy or dense. It did have some mineral spots to clean up. It smelled good when worked. It had a nice strong tap tone. I wish i knew for sure because i would use it again. I have had it a while and do not remember where i got it. The binding is cocobolo from stew mac. I can't keep them all but may have to keep this one.

Sometimes we're fortunate enough to build a 'keeper'. It's a wonderful feeling. It's been my pleasure to have achieved that once. It makes all the effort spent getting there feel like it was worth it - - - the game was worth the candle.
