I use the small HF plastic spring clamps for gluing linings, and found them to work for this too. I"ve used TB3 and CA and found TB works better. The pads move around a couple of ways to hold the glue joint tight.

Those are like the clamps I use as well. I think I got a bag of 100 for around $5.

Well, I plan to use a plank of rosewood and glue a few sheets of veneer under it.
After that I'll saw the bindings of that.

Well that works all the better. Are you going to make enough for multiple guitars? I really should start making bindings your way as well.

I have a board of the size of a fingerboard width.
So I guess that suits 3 guitars.
Purfling under the binding looks pretty to me. Thats why.
And when the allignment with vertical purfling is executed well, it looks very classy.

By accindence I bought a bottle of Titebond 2 dark glue. As it is water resistant I used it for the binding laminating.
Now I bent the strips and the glue joint of the purfling holds up fine. It works, so I'm happy.
I'll show the work when the guitar (the cross-over) is done.

I hold it together with clothespins and use thin ca. It did not come apart while bending.
