Before today I routed the saddle slots with my dremel along some planks and blocks.
Again and again I struggled with the end of the slots, where the bit grabs and jitters.
That leave me with a functional correct slot, but visually not perfect.
I sold a guitar for a fine price and therefore I treated myself with the SM saddle routing jig.
Now I made a bridge with it and it works very well and easy. Well made jig.
Lot of cash, but I am happy with it.
btw: I just screwed the oversized bridge to the workbench.

Re: SM Saddle routing jig
I have that jig as well and it is one of only a few bought single purpose jigs, that I am happy to have. I have used it to route the slot on the guitar. It really came in handy when after I filled and re-sloted a slight misplaced bridge on a guitar with intonation problems.
