Wow, it's been awhile ."Life happened".
Back on this project now and hope to finish this and the ladder-braced brother to this before Xmas.

Re: New Cherry/Sitka Terz shape
I'm trying to finish this up. Decided against the bloodwood fingerboard and made a few changes. No sanding or finish in these pictures. It will look prettier soon!
I was going to string it up yesterday to check it out under string pressure, but as I was putting the low E string into its slot, and pushed the bloodwood pin on top of it, and pulled up on the string to seat it - well, the pin shot past my ear and hit the back wall. Unfortunately, the back was has a few hiding spots in it, as you can see. Cannot locate the pin. So it will be a few more days before I can string it, which will give me time to thoroughly sand the body and apply the first few coats of varnish. No pore-filling as I'm using Cherry for the b+s.

Re: New Cherry/Sitka Terz shape
The guitar is really turning out nice, I was wonder if it was going to be a five string until I ran across the comment of the lost pin. I really like the sloop shoulder cutaway as well. It will be fun to hear how it sound.

Hey D, I made 2 terz guitars , so I am very curious how this one sounds. No soundhole, huge side port. Looking good so far.

Interestingly, the side port is the same total area that a regular soundhole would take up, so the resonances should be about the same.
