I have strings on her. That is always a thrill. Setup went very well and it is a sweet guitar. Very pretty tone. I had to fight the finish a bit. I will probably go back to French polish next build.

Wow great looking guitar! Congratulations. Did you switch out your fret board. Looks like ebony in the pictures. I do know African Blackwood can get really dark. WHat was you finish again?

That is Minwax lacquer, both from a rattle can and a hvlp. Spray can worked much better. The hvlp wanted to set up to fast. I probably needed a retarder in it even though it was thinned. That is african blackwood. I always rub my fingerboards with linseed oil.
