I took a week or so off to build a tenon / mortise jig. I tested it out on a maple body I built and the jig worked flawlessly. It was certainly worth the work as now this part of the construction will be much easier and faster.

Next up; neck/body joint and then neck shaping.

Quite a display of craft. The guitars are looking good.

I cut out some fretboard, bridge blanks and some material for head plates. Both Ebony and Rosewood but decided on using Ebony for this walnut build.

I had my last name cut out from abalone by DePaule Supply. Then carefully scribed it and cut it out with a 1/32" bit on the dremel. Certainly touchy work but turned out good.

I cut out the fret slots and will be binding the fretboard with the ebony I cut off so the tangs are hidden.

Thank you for posting, very nice clean work. The headstock inlay looks great.

Now my battle will be to cut out the final shape of the fretboard keeping each side of binding equal. I find it difficult given the sides taper from nut down and the binding will only end up about .080" thick.

What do most do for the fretboard? stick a template on the blank and use a router to shape it?
