I've learned to really like it. I'm bending some sides now - 2x.045" 'doubles'.
I really like the color, and it looks fine as bindings also.
It does have a few pores. :-)

I have bought from Aaron Hix as well and had good experience and got what I paid for. He is not one of my main guys though.

I have purchase several nice sets from Aron. They were as depicted in the adds. I did have a couple of the backs start to bow some after they were taken out of the plastic wrapping that they were in and needed to sticker them right away with some weight on them. I live in a pretty dry area and I think that the difference between where they are coming from and where I live may have caused the issue. I left them stickered for a while and they seem to be fine.

Wengé is great. I used it several times for fingerboards and bridges. These guitars all did ring just super.
15 years ago wengé was used here for flooring. I bought planks for rediculous low prices. 5 bucks or so.
At the moment I have to pay almost 6 times that price. Over here a a-grade b/s set cost about 70 euro.
