Things can happen: my wife played Mary in a re-enactment of the manger scene, in front of a good-sized gathering of church folk; all went well until she took the swaddling cloths away from the baby Jesus' face ( a doll) and someone - we think we know who - had turned His head backwards, and before that could be rectified, His head fell off, hit the stage loudly and rolled under a camel.

It was a jolly Christmas nonetheless and we both with the joy of the season to all of you.
