I think Ken covered the use of the cards in his builder's manual, which can be read online. It's a treasure chest of ideas and instructions.

Thanks Peter. The online success manual was where I got the idea to try this method of sloping.
]For the “000 deep body" in these photos the rise is
the same thickness of 8 standard 3x5 cards.
Since I am building a 0000 12 frets to the body, I assumed it might be different because of the extra length of the fingerboard extension ,compared to a standard 14 fret, being on the soundboard.
I would rather ask a few questions than sand off too much or not enough. This is the first build of this style for me. I am using master grade wood so I want to be as careful as possible.
