You are right Dave. They brag that their finishes are thin.

While it is hard to imagine many would want a faked aged look to the extent they offer it, they also offer a normal finish. It will be interesting to see if a company that makes blatant copies of other company's old guitars can succeed.

I think they have, There was some discussion at a get together of Seattle luthiers, and someone in the group had a chance to look at and play one lent to one of the acoustic guitar stores in to Seattle. They were impressed. It does remind me of one of my visits deep into the country side of Thailand we ran across a large old industrial building with a sign:
