keenovo silicone heat blankets

Post by peter havriluk » Mon Apr 10, 2017 10:54 pm

I'm trying to find a heating blanket that will fit my bending mold. I'm making some shrunken dreadnaught guitars and my mold has a projected length of 28 inches. The heat blankets that I can find aren't short enough, 36 inches leaves four inches of overhang off each end. Keenovo offers a 750-watt 110v mat that is 30x5 inches which would suit me just fine. I think. I can't find a US supplier for a pad of that size/wattage.

Has anyone had any experience with purchasing a mat from this vendor/manufacturer? Price with 'expedited shipping' is roughly $95.00, $25.00 of which is the shipping upcharge.

Or a US vendor of a pad that size?

Thanks very much.

Peter I just last month took delivery of a Keenovo 6" x 36" blanket. I haven't used it yet to bend sides, but I did hook it up to my heat controller in the bending machine, and it worked fine. The quality looks very good.
Contact them, they will respond to you quickly, they will make a custom size for you....I almost had them do that for me, 34" long instead of 36" and they quoted me a price, but decided to just go with the standard size.

Just ordered a 5x30-inch heating pad from Keenovo. First step in getting heat into my bender.

Onward, indeed. The heating pad arrived today by UPS from Shanghai. Not bad, ordered it Tuesday late afternoon and today's Friday. Now I'm waiting for the temperature controller bits to show up.

I have been extremely happy with my Keenovo blanket and recommend them often. Like you I used the expedited shipping and received it in about three days from China. It was still quite a bit cheaper than buying one from here in the states. I found communication with the company to be very good as well. Good luck with your bending.
