OM Oregon Flamed Redwood/Myrtle with sound

In 2014 I visited California and Oregon. And there I bought myself some local wood. From that wood I made this OM sized guitar. And as an transatlantic twist I added a Lowden style bracing. The Redwood is very light and delicate. The Myrtle was a second piece, 'cause of the burls in it. But I like that, it is wood.
The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is Wengé. That one I filled with CA- glue and it is now smooth as ebony. And Wengé is lovely. It is ringy as can be.

The sound is powerful mid and high. It lacks a bit of the lows. But hey, it is 2 weeks old, give it some time ; -

Nice looking guitar! In the recording I though it had a very full voice. The bass in the guitar certainly supported the composition that was being played. I thought that the A played at the end had a real rich sound.

It looks and sounds fantastic! Really like the wenge. I have a piece that I've been a little apprehensive about using (due to uncertainty about filling the grain), but your guitar makes it very tempting.

This sounds delicately bold. Very pleasing song well played. Wenge is indeed a ringy wood. Reminds me of the response I get from BRZ, of which I have just a few samples, so I can't generalize. If your design system isn't friendly to the damping of ebony, it should be a great solution, as it is quite hard in addition to its ring, which suggests it should wear well. I think your idea of filling it with CA is shrewd.

Had your favorite beer yesterday - BUCKLER! - so smooth I hardly noticed it going down. Did you know Vice President Biden consumed a Buckler a few years back at the so-called "beer summit"? What's good for the Netherlands is good for Herman. There are at least two Americans doing their part.

O Kevin, sorry. I thought "In California" was your last name. Ha!

John, that is strange. In Holland Buckler got off the market in 1993. Heineken tried to launch the alcohol free beer Buckler. But in the 1989 new years speech the cabaret performer Joep van het Hek burned the name Buckler down to the ground. Alcohol free was for sissies he said. It was ment as a joke, but right after that nobody bought a Buckler anymore. In the year 1993 Heineken stopped the production! In marketing here this mechanism is now called "the Buckler effect"

I too am a great fan of Wengé. I made two fretboards with it and they both are on the most ringy guitars I have.

Yeah, you told me you had a wenge soundboard - I ought to look in the gallery more often. This is my favorite size guitar and yours is truly splendid. Consumate workmanship, just superb.

And the sound clip proves that it's not just a pretty, shiny cabinet. That little piece is exquisitely played, just achingly beautiful. That machine doesn't lack anything in sound to my ears! Greatly appreciate the sound clip!
