Repairing Polyurethane
Can I drop fill dings in polyurethane the way I would with nitro?
Re: Repairing Polyurethane
Actually it would be better to use Nitro for the drop fill since it will etch into the Poly. CA is also used, but in my opinion its too difficult to scrape without damaging the surrounding area. The thickened Poly will stick OK but might leave a witness line.
Years ago when the auto industry was mandated to go water borne, we still did repairs with acrylic lacquer --- again the solvents chemically etched which prevented witness lines
