How about solid redwood linings for inside the guitar?

What do you all think? I have this nice clear redwood that was not expensive and I'm thinking of giving it a try. 1/8" thick strips bent to shape, two stacked and glued together to the side.

As you were able to bend it I also see no reason at all not to use it as a lining.
