Yesterday's flea market hand plane find

Post by Kevin in California » Tue Oct 25, 2016 10:50 am

This one is a Craftsman made by sargent before 1948 rabbet/bullnose plane. Seems to be complete and in good shape.
More fun in my shop!

Double plane? front blade missing?
No matter what, you are the plane man here. We had the rain man movie, some time they will make the plane man movie.

Herman, The Plane Man, hmmmm, perhaps I'll write a screen play and see what happens.
Best as I can tell, you move the iron and cap from one position to the other as needed. I don't think they came with two.

Wow - nice find. I've never seen a plane like that before.
