Side project - Surfboard shaping (Image Heavy)

Post by Daniel P » Wed Oct 05, 2016 10:40 am

I've been a little lax in my guitar progress the past couple months - but not without good excuses. My wife and I have taken up cold water surfing, and I was challenged to build her a longboard for surfing the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Turns out that there is a surfboard foam blank distributor minutes from our house - incredible luck. So I've jumped in the deep end on surfboard shaping.

What a cool hobby! I'd find some old-growth Brazilian Rosewood and glue in onto the foam using HHG, but that's just me. :-)

Seriously, that is some nice fun work.
