Hahahahah...I hope not. One advantage of wearing glasses with lenses like coke bottles is the safety factor!!
She is strung, but not up to pitch. I gave her 15 minutes to get used to the new load, time to go out and cowboy up with full pitch tension. Whoopee!

I will post once more today and give progress (hopefully) reports.

She's in tune - D-G-a-d and holding so far. The sound of the open chord is good and loud.

I'll let it stabilize overnight, and reassess in the morning. I have done no finish sanding or pore filling at all, and if it looks like it might hang together I will go ahead and do a good setup, reassess, and perhaps go on to finish it.

Looks really good! How did that zero fret work out?

For a first attempt, real good. I've read the pro's and con's of the bone fret vs. the metal fret - I'll play this awhile and make my own judgment. But it is dirt simple - the string slots don't have to be accurately gauged at all, just spaced correctly and lower than the nut of course.

Goin' through the steps. I use a capo on the first fret and use the 13th fret method for setup purposes.
