Guitar #9
This one is done and so far I love it. Its the first that sounded beautiful from the first and has gotten better over the last week.
This was a little departure for me in that I made changes to the bracing to fit the 00 size. It uses the Norman Blake style OM bracing (from Ken's template) scaled to fit the 00 body. I think the sound is beautifully balanced.
I promise to post a sound clip or video as soon as my hand is healed as long as you you can separate the sound from the player :-)
Here are the particulars:
00 size 12th fret with Norman Blake style bracing
Short scale 24.5"
Narra back and sides
Engleman spruce top
Spanish cedar linings
BRW/Amboyna burl/Maple rosette and tail wedge
Koa bindings
Mahogany neck
Machiche fingerboard
Narra head plate
Koa backstrap
Gold MOP inlays
Grover tuners
ZPoxy pore fill
Tru Oil finish

Great looking guitar. I really like the rosette and end wedge.

Did you just call him 'Sweet John'? Is there anything you'd like to share? :-)
