Hello,
I'm Boyd Moon and I'm new to the forum and steel string building. Here are a couple pics of my in-progress L-OO.

Re: L-OO
Real nice, Boyd. Welcome aboard, it's real good to have you with us.
Among other things you did well, that peghead is fine.

Re: L-OO
Nice guitar and welcome to the forum. The bound headstock and fretboard look good. How do you plan on cutting out the nut slot? I always bevel the headstock veneer and glue it on with a spacer in place as I have had trouble cutting the headstock veneer cleanly without dipping into the neck a bit.

I've designed all the KMG kits so that the nut rests on the finger-board plane. I never really understood the value of that little extra complexity of having the nut on the angled surface. The recommended procedure for trimming the HS veneer is shown here about half way down.

Re: L-OO
And for me, it really pays to sneak up on the depth of the nut slot.
So this is a KMG kit? Nice.
