Myrtle cutaway

This is number eight. My first attempt at a cutaway. All in all it turned out really nice. Sounds bright and well balanced. His one is a surprise gift for my oldest friend. We learned to play together way way back.
The particulars:

Guitar #8
00 size 14 fret cutaway
25.5" scale
Figured Myrtle back and sides.
Adirondack red spruce top.
Walnut neck.
Ebony fingerboard.
BRW and maple bridge.
Walnut backstrip, bindings, backstrap and heel cap.
BRW rosette and head plate.
Tru Oil finish, no pore fill.

Thanks guys. That Myrtle is a beautiful wood. I still have to make a pickguard. Going to make a walnut one.

How was that beautiful Myrtle as far as bending and working with? Is it a porous wood?

Very easy to bend. Easy to sand. Small pores. I chose not to fill this and just went with Tru-oil.

John, sorry I did not reply earlier. My mother in law died, so for a few weeks there was not time for guitars.
Well, you did a great job on this guitar. So many details. Your cutaway look fabulous. So well done, and thanks for your credits on my log.
