Looking good. What's the backstrip material?

The back strip is 1/8" wide walnut. The bindings will be walnut as well. The inside back reinforcement strip is redwood.

This maple is quite floppy (must have something to do with the beetle damage) compared to the birdseye maple I'm working with on the classical I'm building. I don't expect it to be a super bright guitar. I have a Fender curly maple dred that is quite bright.

The braces are carved and I'm ready to fit the back and top to the rims. Should be closing it up on Saturday.
I've never done such a wide upper transverse brace before but thought I'd try it as the Kinkade plans call for it, pretty much following that print this time for the fun of it.

This weekend I got the top and back attached to the rims and the bindings installed, now scraping back flush. I got really messy with the glue on the top.
This guitar has to be done one month from today!

I like the walnut bindings. Good choice. What are you planning on using for the finish?
