I got this plane at the local flea market for $5 a few months ago.
I finally got around to working it up. It needed the lever on the lever cap, but otherwise was complete.
It is a stanley 60 1/2 of pretty old vintage. I left the japanning on the inside of the base alone.
It is a sweet little plane.

I really enjoy seeing those old workhorses shined up and proud!

How is that even the same plane!? You do fantastic work on these things Kevin.

Absolutely delicious looking. Have you considered substituting a Hock blade? I find they make a small, but clearly improved, delta to performance. They look mighty fine too, though are not all that visible on this model Stanley.
