We got strings! Nothing has crumbled or popped off, it's tuned up about a step or so lower than standard tuning, going to let it set for awhile so the various parts can get acquainted under pressure, see if they can work things out, make their own adjustments and come to agreements together, before Tom and I get down to some set-up tomorrow - clean up and finish the nut slots, lower the bridge, keep an eye on the truss rod.
I haven't played it yet, but tuning it up to where it is now - it sounds really good. Definitely ladder-braced with the strong fundamental, and the low D has a definite attitude. :-)

What are you guys using to make a good quality sound clip? How do you keep the file small enough to post without compromising the sound? 10 seconds, that's all I need!

Okay, a little raw sound to see how the camera works. Does NOT pick up the bass, which is a great part of this guitar's sound. but does give a sketch of the overall sound.
