I've told a number of friends over the years that my old Tacoma Roadking was the most fun to play guitar I'd ever owned, and I stick by that. Everything felt 'right'. Very woody sound too. It was not the best of the best when it came to high-end shimmer or the magic of a Lowden, but I made more music on it than on anything since.
I ran across this online catalog just now, and it's kinda fun to read some of their reasonings. Sure it's a sales catalog, but still, this was a well-thought out product.

There's a diagram of it in the catalog, but I don't know what a Fender neck joint looks like.

Re: Tacoma guitars catalog
The heel-less bolt on neck looks like an electric guitar neck joint. If one can get past the looks, both the lack of a heel and the bolts on the back, I think it would be great. Really easy to set or reset the neck with a bit of a shim.
With a sound hole there would be no need to have the bolts go through to the back as they would only need to go through the heel extension like on a Taylor or Gore bolt on bolt off neck that I use.

The bolt ends could be covered; the lack of a heel is no biggie as far as playing, of course.
What does the catalog mean by using a 'pressure washer' - where would that be installed do you think?
