Very good intonation cause and effect explaination

I do intonate my nuts (?) by 0.030". And all who have a guitar of mine like it. I did not know however that it sharpens all above the 12th fret. Never encountered that problem, probably because acoustic players seldomly play in that area.

I liked the video as well. I also intonate at the nut and like the results but I will not counter any of things he says. When I intonate at nut I have really good intonation to the 12 fret after which it does start going incrementally sharp. Without the nut intonation my guitars tend to be a bit sharp in the first through third position. The video is very informative. Anyone who buys pre-slotted fret boards that is slotted for a zero fret or use a template that cuts a zero slot has about .012" of intonation at the nut (a good thing.)
