Where are some good places to get the veneer from that is used for making rosettes and purfling rings?
Thanks -- Steve
Veneer used to make rosettes and purfling rings
Re: Veneer used to make rosettes and purfling rings
The notable luthier suppliers have materials, some specific for rosette making -- you can also so use purfling materials. I actually have made my own using veneers from places like Constantine's. They have different thicknesses, all sorts of wood and dyed materials. Sometimes they offer sample packs that are long enough for this purpose.
