The little gear - rubber of all things - does not grab the shaft any longer, it's just stripped out.
Is there an easy way to affix it permanently to the shaft?
Any way to fix it?

Re: Any way to fix it?
SWAG: If that's a HF router, the parts are identified in the instruction sheet, or maybe you can get lucky and find an instruction sheet online at HF. And maybe HF stocks a replacement part. Or maybe the part from the new black HF router will fit. If the part from the black one will fit maybe you can try to get the part from Grizzly whose router HF copied in the event HF doesn't sell that part.

The part $2.25 the shipping $7 from Grizzly - not worth it, really. I think a new one from HF (Black Friday sale perhaps?) is in the works.

Dave I'll take a look see if I have one laying around -- do not spend any $$$ on the current Harbor Freight trim routers -- the black one's are pretty crappy way excessive run-out. The Grizzly with the plastic housing is the one to get. $.02

Thanks for that tip, Ken. This has been a good little router - the one that came with my table top binding channel kmg jig - it's just that little part. Maybe Santa will pop for the Grizz. :-)
