Between guitar projects

Spent some time at the lathe Saturday making throwing spin tops for my 2 grandsons, son-in-law, and for me! Did any of you play with these when you were a boy? I did!
Eucalyptus wood, with a thin CA finish. They all spin!!!!! I had it going on Saturday, then yesterday I went to spin one, and I lost the technique and couldn't do it for the life of me!
So I'll have to practice again and get it down so I can show the boys how to do it. :)

Okay so nobody responded to my tops....hmmmm.
Maybe you don't think I can make them spin!!!

Those are nice tops - a project I've never attempted.
Of course, I do live in the no-spin zone. :-)

Very nice elegant design.
We used to to play with them as kids, We call them "tol".
We had a whip to hit them and they spun all over the street.
