I made a lot of progress this weekend. Fretboard is made, slotted and glued to neck. The neck is almost done, just a little clean up around the heel and headstock transition. The shaft is done.

Here are those pics. The back strap is probably not done. I was going to do a "V" shape with the rosewood, not sure if I can accomplish this as there isn't much mahogany to remove at that transition. I'll do some critical measuring before I put the chisel to it.

I have the fretwork done, and the bridge is in process.
Complete the bridge, it is not done yet, do final sanding and inspection, and I'll be ready to start pore filling.

Today I made a template for a slotted headstock and used the drill stock bit as you did. Well, I can say it works fine. Don't recall who first posted this method. But thanks.

Kevin, as far as I'm concerned, that is the most pleasing guitar shape that I've seen. The 'terz' shape that I am working on is very close to that. Great proportions. How deep is the body?

Thanks Herman and Dave. Herman, that technique is learned from Robbie O'brien, and it surely does work well.
Dave, I believe I'm about 3.5" and about 1/4" less at the neck end. That shape is from a Friedrich Detriech plan, I believe around 1966. I really liked the lines. An old LMI plan.
