Number four.

Post by John J » Thu Sep 03, 2015 12:31 pm

Just can't seem to stop. Started number four. I've joined the top and back and thinned along with the sides. Sides contoured and ready to bend. Walnut bends nicely.

Fits nicely. I'll let them rest awhile before I cut to size. Need to make my blocks.

Gotta love Walnut!

I noticed that you cut a little location slot in the side -- my recommendation would be "not" to do that -- you'd be surprised at the crazy grain splits that can start/develop for that very thing. $02

Coming along. Created the rosette from red heart. Thanks to Eric Schaefer for the radial method he uses.

That rosette looks great, incredible colour.

John, I was just looking for that post that shows how he makes his radial rosettes, but could not find it. Would you be so kind as to post a link to it? Thanks,
Oh, and beautiful work by the way.
Jim
