A little "stringy" for my ear but this "new old" Collings line is pretty cool!

Yeah, agree. Quite mid-oriented. The man can really play, but I am curious how this guitar sounds played by an average or even lesser player. Would it be worth a 2000 bucks?

Waterloo is the original name for Austin, TX. Collings' labels show Austin as where they are made but they're actually built west of town at Dripping Springs, off 71. On Friday afternoons you can sign up to go thru the shop, but I never manage to get on the list in time when I get to my daughter's house.

My understanding is that you can get these both "X" braced or ladder-braced. The next time we go to see my daughter's family, I hope to play one of each.
