Clear pickguard material UK

Post by Paul B » Sun Mar 22, 2015 7:03 am

Hi. Can anyone in the UK recommend a specific make/brand/type of clear self adhesive Mylar/polyester/polyethylene film which is readily available over here please? Basically the type of material Frank Ford refers to in his YouTube video. I realise Stewmac sell suitable sheets, but the cost is over £18 after shipping and taxes etc. which makes for a very expensive pickguard. I'm pretty sure they are just repackaging a commercially available product, but there is so much stationary & laminating related stuff out there that it is difficult to know what to try! Thickness of around 150 micron I would guess is about right? I will probably be using a Tru-oil finish.

Cheers
Paul

Check with a local photographer. Photography supply houses sell this stuff at great prices.
