Three versions of same tune - which do you like?

http://youtu.be/qOIt7fOgeFk By the guy that wrote it
http://youtu.be/8tFN902wH0g I think he's boring, but hits the right notes.
http://youtu.be/RZBmIXE31pw More like Paul Simon played it. Be careful of volume - Loud at beginning!

For me, the writer's version was best. It seemed to carry more expressive emotion in the picking and strum patterns than the other two. While not necessarily the fastest picking, I think that is what lent it to be more emotional. I noticed he used more up strokes when the others were using down strokes, that changes the sound.

Dutch version - very nice as well.

I had not noticed the upstroke/downstroke difference - very interesting.

I liked the Paul Simon version best, he took some of the repetition out. Davy Graham does a good job playing it as written but I found the original composition was on the boring side. I learned to play the original once; by the time I could play it I was really sick of it.
