Florentine Cutaway
Re: Florentine Cutaway
Looking forward to the final pix and sounds, Herman. My experience with cedar is that it will get warmer and warmer as it ages, and volume increases. I made my first guitar with it and according to its owner, it is still going strong.

Pictures coming in a few days, Kevin.
The guy Bert who's taking the guitar from me sunday is a far better player than me, he will make us a decent clip.
But since Dave and Kevin push me to the edge, I made a tune for you.
Probably you heared it before, because it is one I can play by heart without too many mistakes.
At first you hear the natural sound. Just a mike 3 feet away from me. After 17,5 seconds you hear the onboard K&K pure mini over my AER amp with a touch of resonance. That's all, no processing

The guitar sounds fantastic! Thank you for this thread! Great documentation as well as a really well thought out build. I plan on rereading it and rereading it again as I start my first build :o)

Replying just to say that even old threads still have value. I found this on a search of techniques for the cutaway neck (heel) block. Ending up reading the whole thing snd enjoyed it greatly. Thanks Herman
