Anyone know what this is? Here is the eBay description:
We have what looks like some sort of a press?, some sort of Luthier's jig. Comes the old Martin factory on North St. in Nazareth. After the new facility was built and operating they kept part of the North St.facility open and called Woodworker's Dream. That's were this jig comes from, I bought it an auction years ago along with Martin wood and other items. Measures approx. 17" x 9". The opening is 13" x 5".

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

Re: ??????
That's the guess on another forum but with a 13" wide opening that would limit the guitar size, so maybe it is size specific.Ken Hundley wrote:Brace gluing jig?

Sorry, I missed your message when it first was posted. Looks to me like some torture device used in questioning in the 14th Century. Could be worth some money. Bring it into Antiques Roadshow and find out.

Neil - hmm....it could be a torture device involving the testicular region, I wish that image had not come to mine. :-)
