Re: Has anyone used this bridge?
I am using a pinless bridge on my bass guitar. My main fear is that it stays on. I am going to use 3/8 dowels through the bridge plate into the pinless bridge to help transfer some of the string load. I noticed this bridge had a couple holes that would allow the insertion of a couple of dowels to help hold it on. Having said that I have not tried using one of these bridges yet.

I like the idea of the dowels!
Titebond and some other modern adhesives are indeed stronger then the wood itself -- I've seen test after test proving this point. I believe if the surfaces are "true perfectly matching" there will be no problems. BTW in fifty or so years of using Titebond for furniture making and instrument making I've seen "zero" evidence of creep. On the other hand I have had instruments in the shop that were over heated (in a car most times) and the bridges popped off both Titebond and Hide. One of my inexpensive Yamaha classics was on a stand near a window (dumb a** attack on my part) and the radiant heat alone popped off the bridge -- that was hide glue but the surface was not scrapped cleanly.

The thing I don't like about dowels is that if the bridge for some reason does lift and needs to be removed it makes the process a whole lot more difficult to get thru those dowels.
