Pore filling a la Robbie O'Brien

I am a big shellac fan. I use it on all my guitars. I mix it fresh for each guitar and have not had any problems at all. I use it to seal the top, light purflings, rebates. I have been very happy with the results from French Polish. On Robbie's rosewood classical guitar's he uses black dyed drywall mud. I have not tried that.
