Well Dave many years ago when my waist was narrower, I was much quicker than I am now. Ha ha ha, I crack myself up!

I think you're right John about the 'quick response'. There used to be quite a bit of talk about the desirability of QR, and it was used as a selling point, but I've never really gotten the point.

That is not a simple instrument to make. I'm watching a video (in chinese, dangit) that shows the process of making it - no specs though - and it looks like the channel that Taylor uses for more flexible tops has been used by Chinese for a thousand years :-)
The rim btw is made of 6 bent pieces of wood, joined with finger joints and obviously no kerfing is needed!
