Keep in mind that I drew way outside the actual neck - at least 1/2" with the big marker pen I was using. I think there's plenty of room but we shall see.

Oh btw - I'm making profile templates, of course, that will give me more accuracy.

Is this any more convincing? I draw a very close outline of the necks I'm wanting to build, and left 1/2" around the perimeter, and left 3/4" spaces at headstock ends and 2" between the shafts.
If you guys/gals/other still think it is too close, I reckon I'll have to re-think it. Dang it. BTW I flinched taking the pic, but the right hand side looks just like the left hand side.

I have an oversized acrylic template I made for laying out on the billets. Seems mine goes outside the 24" mark but I'm not at home to check...you see, I'm still a working man
