What do you think about this joint? I found it while googling for a similar picture of the older Taylor butt joint, which I can't find.

Interesting indeed. I described it to my wife but only used 963 words. I must have missed something!

On the web site in looks like it is for a classical Guitar. Interesting idea, with nylon strings I think it would hold OK.

Well that is an uggggly joint to me. And looks not very stable sideways. But I could be wrong.
