Is that acrylic paint? Did you put a finish over it?
It's water color and ink. I sent sample wood to my brother-in-law (the artist) and he sent it back for me to finish with nitro to ensure it was compatible. To two attempts to get the right combos. It was his first time applying his skill to wood.

Thanks John, you're the second person to comment like that (we must have done something right). I wasn't sure how it would sound as this is the first time I used Eastern Black Walnut. I would say the overall tone is somewhere between Mahogany and Rosewood. Anyone else with experience with walnut care to comment on the tone?

Herman wrote:Tim, that is a remarkeble built. You made it unique. Your idea, of putting the logo on the back of the headstock and a decorative inlay on the front, I might copy. My customer wants both of them on the front, but it is too busy, IMO. Great solution. Love your iron branding on the inside backstrip. In short: superb!
Sample the sound for us, please.

Thanks Herman. I am working on trying to figure out how to do sound samples (sound is not my strength). I am please with the overall tone of the guitar.

I've built maybe ten guitars using Walnut and either Redwood or Cedar top. All my walnut is western, I don't know how it compares to Eastern, but it is one of my favorite woods to work with. Tone wise, I prefer it to East Indian, especially when matched with sinker Redwood.
