Cedar is the most responsive top wood in my stash. One top will sustain a tap for 5 seconds, all will do at least 4. Gits made with it tend to sound "well aged" within the first year, and they just get warmer and warmer after that.

I agree the marking on this git's top are an asset to its overall look.
