I started this guitar last December. It was 6 months and 22 days in the making.
This is my 8th guitar. I made it for a friend who is doing missionary work in England. We haven't figured out yet how to get it to him.
He is excited to get the guitar in his hands. It is not the best finish I've done, but it looks good, and really sounds great.
It is quite loud, but well balanced.
East Indian Rosewood B & S
Carpathian Spruce top
Bracing is all Sitka Spruce, standard X with some scalloping
Madagascar Rosewood fretboard and bridge
Bloodwood bindings
EIR Headstock
Headstock inlay and tail wedge are Macacuaba
Gotoh gold tuners, gold frets
Pickguard is Cocobolo
Finish is sprayed Mohawk Nitro lacquer
Pick up is JJB Electronics Artist 330
These pickups are really a great deal. No preamp, no battery, no controls, just a copy of the K & K mini and it works great.
If you haven't tried them, do so. You will be impressed.
If I can make a short sound bite that will upload I'll try and do so.
Thanks for watching as this was was built. I know it was a long time coming.
Kevin

Cannot see the flaws! Where are they?
Just kiddin'. Again you did a great job. I have bloodwood binding around and when I see your excellent execution, I think I'll use them soon.

Thanks guys. Herman, you need new glasses!! :)
I like that the flaws don't show up in the photos!
I came up with that simple bridge shape on my second guitar and have stuck with it with only a minor modification. It kind of coordinates with the pointy headstock, which I have noticed resembles a factory made guitar headstock shape....but I can't remember which one it is...
