Alterantive to CA for contact mic installation

How do you install the JJB or K&K pickups without using CA?

Very thin double sided tape -- I'll be testing some from Jesse at JJb - question is "stick'em" longevity not performance.

Thanks. I plan to buy a JJB pickup soon. It will be good to know the outcome of your experiment.

My experiment is only in regard to longevity perhaps I will test for signal loss -- but this is not a new idea, here's the procedure

I don't like that double stick tape. I use the super glue gel. May just be my imagination but I think it sounds better with the glue as well.

I suspect the CA method without a pre-amp indeed should have superior output. But I don't think the tape will cause any frequency loss.

So does the gel CA come in different formulas for increased set up time?

The stuff I use (comes with the K&K Pure mini as well) sets in about 60-90 seconds. I keep light pressure on it for that time, completely set in 5 minutes.
