First Build Completed

Post by Jon Heimbruch » Fri Feb 21, 2014 12:18 pm

I put the strings on my first built guitar the other day. I have to say that it was one of the most satisfying things that I have ever done. Over the past few months I have been guided and encouraged by the members of the forum and am grateful for the wealth of information and experiences that everyone here shares. I learned some very valuable lessens on this first build and have discovered that even mistakes can be a good thing. I know now what not to do on my next build. I am going to let this guitar settle in for a few days then will use kens method of fine tuning the setup. KMG tools and fixtures are top notch quality and take a great deal of stress out of the project. I wouldnt build without them. My next build will be a KMG modern D Kit. I am super excited. I think I am hooked. LOL. Happily so.

Congratulations Jon on completing your first. It is a great feeling to hear those first notes for sure.
Hooked you will be. I am building number 8 & 9 right now. I made my first in 2008. I'm not a fast builder! :>)
I too would love to see your git.

Kevin
