I've used our local Green Ash for 5 guitars so far, all nylon strung. Ash makes a fine guitar. I'd use it again no question.
If you have straight grain, air dried, Ash of suitable size and cut, don't burn it! Make tonewood! Burn the junk bits.

Only used it for electrics, but tonewoodwise it is great.
The lighter density pieces are preferred
