I was not sure where to put this since we don't have a sandpaper sub-forum, but I was on Lee Valley's site and saw this stuff:

Seems like a good alternative to steel wool. I have always been worried about leaving behind some steel particles when I use steel wool. this product eliminates that worry.
It is a new product to Lee Valley, but I was curious if anyone had ever seen something like it before and maybe used it.

Haven't tried it, looks interesting though. For my TO finishing I use synthetic steel wool and scotch pads; this stuff might be a good replacement.
