The KMG Lowden "O" Style Stencil will be available in our on line store this week -- it will have our usual info label to help with braces sizes etc.
How's the Stencil coming along Ken?

I dropped Mike Doolin a note the other day and he sent me this link and info...very nice guy! I thought it may help as an addendum to the Stencil.
I like the posts He uses with his bridge, it would seem to at least limit the
damage to the finish some if you broke a string and it shot out the back of
a regular pin-less bridge.

Hi Ray,

There’s a page on my site(Dosen't seem to be there any more as he doesn't make guitars any longer or anything else) that describes how to make a pinless bridge:

http://www.doolinguitars.com/articles/bridgejigs/

I cut the steel posts from lengths of .078” piano wire that you can get at any hobby store. I use a 3/16” wide saddle so I don’t have to use a split saddle. But if you want to, the layout is the same as for a pinned bridge, you just have to place the posts 5/8” back from the saddle at the low E.

Good luck -

Mike

Also this info on intonation as well as continuing articles that may be of interest or at least add to the question list.

Thought I would share! :>)

Sorry, way busy -- I'll get to ASAP

I've communicated with Mike regarding the Elliot bridge -- personally I don't like the added weight of the steel pins or the ideas of having to drill into the top after the thing is glued in place. (just me) McMaster has the pins cut to length. I like the Lowden bridge and will work out a varation.

Good info Ken!
Thanks.
Also glad you are busy...that's a GOOD thing! No hurry for me on the stencil, you'll get it when you get it! :>)
