That's an excellent idea Martin. Any tips or drawings you could share to help us along in making one or a couple of these?
Welcome to the forum!! I visit the ANZL quite often; there's alot going on luthier-wise in your neck of the woods.

I picked up the Narex 6-Piece Bench Chisel Set, ran them through my stones/lapping film sequence and have been very pleased with them. 1/4" is nice if for getting any stray glue from brace corners or inletting braces into the sides, 1/2 and 5/8 I use for brace carving, in conjunction with a 16mm curved Kirsch/Two Cherries chisel.

If you get new chisels, know that it often take a few honings before you really get to the full potential of the steel. As I understand is some quenching processes leave the outer most layer of the steel in a less than ideal state, once you're through that they hit their full potential.

As well, if you get new chisels, like the Narex, be sure to break the 90 degree corners down the length of the chisel (start back from the tip and inch or so)- I've got some wicked cuts from guiding new chisels with my fingers. Old chisels will have had these edges soften over the years and will be of no concern.
